It's official...basketball ref's in this area = SUCK

Watched TS/JJK and GC/Honaker tonight in GC. TS/JJK's officials were the worst I've seen in 18 years of watching varsity basketball. I've seen Kingsport church league ref's be more consistant.

The GC/Honaker game was even worse. Shupe, Kuzcko, and Johnson. Kuzcko really showed himself when he ejected a GC asst. and stuck Vermillion with a T for good measure. 45 total fouls in the game. 21 in the first half (15 GC) and 24 in the second half (13 Honaker). I figured GC would get a lot of love in the second half and I was right as they were shooting with a little more than 2 minutes left in the quarter.

Do these people just not give a [censored]? In the first game all a player had to do was hold his mouth wrong and the whistle would blow. The second game was a wrestling match with a ball and basket.

The ones at PV weren't very good either. Council's coached T'd up, they let the clock run probably 10 seconds off with like 1:30 to go in the game on a dead ball. Two pretty obvious bad calls on whether a guy was shooting or not, I think it evened out though. Both were horrible as on one instance it was obivously a shot called on the floor and another on a pass called a shot. PV shot 4 One and One Shots. Pretty bad, but the one notrious bad ref was there so I expected it when I walked through the door. I have never been to a game this guy reffed where I thought it went smoothly. Oh PV won 34-31.

The AOA really needs to reel some of their refs in. I'm glad someone else saw what I did at GC tonight. I thought Johnson did a decent job compared to Shupe and Kuzco. It's a shame the kids have to play with the officiating they have. The AOA should start basing the refs pay on the job they do. Bad job, docked pay.

Johnson was the only decent official I saw tonight. Shupe was his usual self. He loves making out-of-position calls.

Yeah. As far as the bald ref, I think it was shupe. He walked near the student section, and someone yelled go back to berton, he turns towards us, says "you can't say that to me" and smiles. Shortly after, a string of [censored] calls hit GC. That is BS, and from my standpoint people wouldn't be telling him to go back home if he wasn't a crappy ref in the first place.
